All threading occurs in the

oh_marvelous community.

The

oh_marvelousnet community is for non-threading communication entries (i.e. emails, twitter, blog, phone calls, even psychic communication). If it's interaction that isn't a thread and isn't ooc it likely goes here.

oh_whatif is a community for "what if" fun cracky plots that wouldn't occur in the actual game.

Format

This game is third person story book format. That said, I do not require novels. If you want to write extensive paragraphs, that’s fine, but if you can only do a paragraph that’s perfectly acceptable. I even don’t mind single lines of dialogue now and then, just please put a little effort into it- even if it’s just to describe an expression. (For example: “I suppose, if that’s what you want,” she said and frowned unhappily.)

Threads

Oh Marvelous is played through threading, replying to character entries in the

oh_marvelous community. If you want to thread through aim and post it, you can, but for the most part threads are preferable because it allows for everyone to see what’s going on and for the use of icons. Really, who doesn’t love icons? Threading can be between multiple characters if you’d like. Time-warping (see below) also allows for even more interaction.

This game goes at a fairly quick pace, so please check your threads often. It is not uncommon to complete a thread in a matter of hours or a few days, so please try not to drag out threads longer than necessary.

Thread Format

Thread headings should be formatted as follows:

Characters: [Who's involved this scene. You may just put OTA (open to anyone) or someone specific, add "Multiple Threads" if you want replies from more than one character.]
Setting: [Where and when (morning, evening, between what events of the day) the scene is occurring.]
Content: [Worksafe? Adult content? Language? Let us know here.]
Summary: [A short summary of the scene.]

THREAD FORMAT

Please place the scene starter under an Lj-cut.

Adult Content

All threads with explicit sexual content must be friend-locked and contain warnings under the "content" section of their thread headings. By no means is anyone required to write or participate in threads with adult content if they don't want to. Please try to keep scenes tasteful and make sure they serve some purpose and aren't just for their own sake.

Tags

Please add tags to all your entries. Include the characters, location, affiliation, and !incomplete and, later, !complete when you finish it. There is a list of tags in the main community, and I will add to it when we get more characters and locations.
